Day ONE in Disneyland

We had a great first day in Disneyland. We went with my Mom and our little cousin Laura. JD and Robin came later that night to watch the fireworks with us. It was a super hot day and there were lots of people, but we kept hydrated and the best thing about Disneyland is you don't have to look too far to see a family with a melt down worse than yours!

Kathryn LOVED meeting Alice. It was the very first thing we did when we got in the park. She thought that was the best. "Alice" spent a long time talking to Kathryn and knelt down by her on her level and just made Kathryn feel so special!
Jungle Cruise- Kathryn loves this ride because she thinks all the animals are real. Her favorite is the hippos. I like the corny jokes myself. I wore the sling with Joseph most of the day and Travis would wrestle with Kathryn, but he took a turn and left Joseph chill with him for a ride or two. A guy in line did a double take on Travis and then said, "For a second I thought that was a snake around your neck!"

Joseph snuggly in the sling. It was so great. He would sleep in there, chill in there. It was easy to get on the rides with him in it and he enjoyed being close to me all day. I did get some strange looks though- people would try to figure out exactly what was in there! The kids and I posing with Maleficent. She scares us!!
Waiting in line for Pirates- my mom, me Spencer, Kathryn, and cousin Laura. Kathryn cried and screamed as we got to the place where they load the boats. People were looking at us like "don't make that little girl ride it if she doesn't want too!" We were like, "She's ridden it before and loves it- just gotta get on and it will be fine." Needless to say we didn't make any line friends.
My Mom and Spencer on Dumbo.
We love to ride King Arthur's Carousel. It is one of our favorites. Kathryn likes all the pictures of Sleeping Beauty on it and Spencer thinks the horses are cool. I love that it isn't a long wait!!
Spencer showing his moves during the parade. He loves to get out and dance with the people.
Kathryn got her own "girl" to hold her hand and take her around during the parade. She was in heaven! We took a few photos of our group while we were waiting for the fireworks to begin. They were super scary cool. They had villains, flying ghost dog, fire, and great music. The kids really enjoyed them. It was one of the best fireworks shows I have seen!

Joseph looks like such a happy baby. Way to go, getting Travis to wear the sling. Ryan is ok with the front and back packs, but has never tried a sling. Your pictures make me want to take the kids to Disneyland! Maybe someday.

You are one BRAVE woman to take your whole family, complete with infant in a sling, to Disneyland!!! It looks like everyone had a blast though! Someday for us - Jeff's never been to Disneyland & some of our kids are just too young!
