Last Friday we went to Spencer's school for the award ceremony. Spencer received an award for academic excellence. We were very proud of him. It was a fun assembly with a Hawaiian theme and Spencer liked the lame jokes and pretend surfing they did.
Kathryn ran up to give him a congratulatory hug after his name was announced and he was walking up to receive his ribbon.

That's great that Spencer's school has an awards assembly and that you were able to go. Way to go for Spencer!
