What Holiday do you Celebrate?

Spencer came home with a snowflake from school with directions to write what holiday his family celebrates and then one of the traditions they have with it. Spencer thought that we should put Halloween as the holiday we celebrate because he loves trick-o-treating. I had to explain that they meant which holiday in December do you celebrate- Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan etc. I convinced him to write Christmas and think of what we do to celebrate it. He was sad because he really wanted to put Halloween and was unsure I was right, because the assignment didn't specifically say holiday in December. He is so funny!
